Values Statement

Everything we do is to lift up and magnify the name of Jesus Christ. Our worship celebrates who Christ is with a blend of contemporary worship, traditional hymns, and original music. The focus of everything is always on the Majesty of the Father, the personal sacrifice of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. We believe it is true without mixture of error and is our only authority for what we believe. It is reliable, relevant, and relatable to daily life.

The greatest display of love we can give Christ is to obey his commands. We believe that the teachings of God, when obeyed, will change lives, restore marriages, heal heartaches and lead us in the way we should go.

People are judge at First Baptist Church, not by the color of their skin, the size of their bank account, or by the way that they dress, but by the fact that God loves them and so do we. People are received just as they are and are encouraged, equipped, and enabled to become all that God intended.

The purpose of unity is that the world will know that Christ is the Lord of our lives. When at all the possible regarding us, we seek unity through submitting to God and to one another.

In Heaven, we know that the Throne of God will be filled with worshippers from every nation, tribe, color, and tongue. We want First Baptist Church of Ferguson to be a picture of Heaven on earth. We value diversity because it pictures the diversity of the love redemption that Christ offers to every person.

Love freely given is the melody that makes everything else harmonize into a beautiful symphony. Love is the universal language that all can understand. It is the second most important commandment, as we’re called to love our neighbor as ourselves.

It all comes down to this: Everything we do is about Jesus. The purpose of all our ministries, worship, messages, and teaching is that Jesus might become a personal part of every life. As a result of the ministry of First Baptist Church, we pray that you will Know who Jesus is, Experience His presence, and Surrender to His Leadership as Lord in every area of life.
