Vision / Mission
Those words are used a lot and often interchangeable, but for us, Vision is out there, what we see and are striving toward, but will never be fully fulfilled. Mission on the other hand is the object that we are actively doing to move us toward the vision. So, here it is in a bullet point nut shell.
Vision
Family, Glory, Story
In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.
He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.”
And again, “I will put my trust in him”
And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.” (NIV)
They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle:
“See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” (NIV)
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.” (NIV)
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” (NIV)
What We See:
A Diverse Family of Christ Followers, Displaying the Glory of God, and Declaring the Gospel Story of the God who made us, loved us, and changed us.
We desire to be a church like Heaven – that is we will act like heaven, so we will look like heaven, and then we will feel like heaven. We are not all the way there, but our head is raised, our heart is set, and our feet are moving toward that vision

Mission
Love, Serve, Transform
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.” (NIV)
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” (NIV)
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (NIV)
“The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person. Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.” (NIV)
“Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” (NIV)
What We Do:
We Love God, one another, and our community, from our hearts and that drives us to. Serve God, one another and our community, in action and with passion. We are seeking Transformation in our own lives, in what we have experienced in church, and in the homes and families that represent our community.
Of course we desire to see transformation taking place in our relationships with one another. We desire to see transformation in our community particularly in becoming a community of “we” unity instead of an “us/them” mentality. Then there is a transformation that happens individually as we develop in our relationship with God in Christ Jesus. Transformation from Seeker to Believer, Believer to Worshiper, Worshiper to Disciple, and Disciple to Servants and Missionaries.
